Dalian Aina Autism Service Center, established in 2014, is committed to fostering an inclusive society for individuals with autism and other intellectual disabilities. With a mission to establish a full-life service system, the organization has served over 2,000 families by November 2024, aiming to empower individuals with disabilities to live dignified lives within the community while alleviating familial concerns about their future.
Country Information
The Need
There is a critical need for vocational transition training for adults with ASD in China. As these individuals transition out of formal education, they require enhanced professional skills and vocational training to integrate into the community and workforce, thereby reducing economic pressures on their families and fostering a dignified life.
The Project We Fund
The project funded involves providing 320 vocational transition courses to 16 adults with ASD, training one employment counselor, and engaging 1,000 people in inclusive activities. This initiative aims to enhance employment skills, create an inclusive environment, and develop a replicable vocational training model.
The Result
The project aims to improve employment skills among adults with ASD, train an employment counselor, and promote community involvement through inclusive activities. It expects to foster a socially inclusive environment, reduce family burdens, and provide a sustainable model for vocational training that can be replicated in other regions.
