Laurence PICCININ has 17 years of experience in designing and managing impact organizations and departments. She has implemented and carried out missions for major companies at the crossroads of the public and private spheres, always dealing with social commitment and impact. She has an extensive knowledge of the education and training sectors and actors, as well as of corporate and individual philanthropy, ESG and CSR approaches, and the ecosystem of associations and NGOs. She has contributed from the outset to game-changing educational and training projects, such as mentoring and innovative guidance solutions for high-school students.
A former teacher in secondary and higher education in France and the USA, a Fulbright alumni, she created in 2013 the first collective impact philanthropy organization in France : l’Alliance pour l’éducation, bringing companies, individual philanthropists, local NGOs and priority area schools to work together to improve students’ self-confidence and choices.
She organised the merger of L’Alliance pour l’éducation with the French United Way chapter five years later. For ten years she was the CEO of the organization Alliance pour l’éducation-United Way which mobilizes 40 companies and 30 NGOs to bring advice, support, mentoring, preparation and concrete experience with the professional world to 15,000 middle and high-school students every year.
Since February 2023 she has been the head of the social impact at Galileo Global Education, the world’s independent higher education leader, buidling the group’s strategy and programs to open its schools to a socio-demograhic diversity of students, generalize mentoring, and implement volunteeting opportunities for Galileo school students in France.
She is a member of the selection committes of the foundations of Aéroports de Paris and Française des Jeux, and humbled to have been appointed the independent Chairwoman of Concentix’s Think Human Fund in April 2024.
