Mission & History
Alliance Anti Trafic (AAT) is dedicated to combating sexual exploitation, focusing on protecting women and minors from abuse, trafficking, and prostitution.
Established in 2003, AAT has rescued and empowered thousands of victims, helping them rebuild their lives through self-development and positive attitude cultivation. The organization has supported over 3,000 victims across Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam. AAT‘s approach combines professional staff and volunteers to help women and children develop essential skills, gaining the confidence to protect themselves and assist others.
Country Information
The project is based in Thailand, with specific focus areas in Nakorn Ratchasrima, Ubonratchathani, and Chachengsao provinces. These regions have been identified as severely impacted by online sexual violence, making them key areas for AAT‘s intervention. The socioeconomic landscape of these provinces necessitates targeted educational initiatives to protect vulnerable populations from gender-based and online sexual violence.
The Need
AAT‘s initiatives are crucial in educating children and communities in Thailand about gender-based violence and online sexual exploitation. The need for this project arises from the vulnerabilities identified in children and communities, who are at risk of becoming victims to such violence. By addressing these risks, AAT aims to empower children and their communities with the knowledge and tools to protect themselves, thereby creating a safer environment for all.
The Project We Fund
The SafeNet Community Project by AAT is designed to educate 300 children and their community members in three schools on how to protect themselves from sexual violence. The project aims to identify and provide further protection to 50 vulnerable children. Activities include training on cyber dangers, sexual exploitation, and self-protection, supported by media dissemination to raise awareness and facilitate protection.
The Result
The anticipated outcome of the project is a significant increase in awareness and protective measures among educated children and community members, enabling them to prevent and report sexual violence effectively. By leveraging participatory evaluations and ongoing project reviews, AAT ensures impactful and sustainable change, with the educated individuals further spreading this knowledge, thus creating a ripple effect of safety and empowerment.
