The 2025 Regional Entrepreneurship Fair brought together 312 youth participants from all program sites, who showcased 70 innovative projects developed through their entrepreneurship training.
Designed as a combined fair and Shark Tank–style competition, the event provided a dynamic platform for young entrepreneurs to present their business ideas, demonstrate the skills acquired throughout their training, and highlight their creativity and problem-solving abilities. Projects were evaluated across several categories, including Technology and Innovation, Environment and Sustainability, Health and Wellness, Education and Personal Development, and Commerce and Gastronomy.
Throughout the day, participants exchanged insights, shared their ventures, and engaged in an inspiring atmosphere that reflected the entrepreneurial spirit fostered by Oportunidades. An initial elimination round featured presentations from all participants, after which 10 finalists defended their ideas before a panel of specialists. Evaluations were carried out by 22 teachers, along with a specialized jury panel of 3 members.
Three outstanding ventures were recognized:
- 1st Place – Click and Create: An educational platform introducing early-childhood learners to programming in Spanish, addressing the need for engaging and age-appropriate digital learning tools.
- 2nd Place – TactoSmart: A smart cane designed to improve the safety and autonomy of blind and deafblind individuals by detecting elevated or moving obstacles and providing tactile alerts.
- 3rd Place – ArteLar: A social enterprise elevating the artisanal hammock-making tradition of San Sebastián, promoting local craftsmanship through culturally rooted products.
This fair marks the successful completion of the project jointly implemented by Oportunidades, Aflatoun, and the Gloria Kriete Foundation—celebrating the creativity, dedication, and entrepreneurial potential of youth across the region.
